This guide will show you how to string an unresponsive yoyo the right way. It’s faster, safer for your gear, and helps avoid common issues like string snags.
How to String an Unresponsive Yoyo
Follow these simple steps to change your string the safe way:
- Keep Your Yoyo Closed: To prevent string getting caught in between the axle and bearing, do not open your unresponsive yoyo.
- Prepare the String: At one end of your yoyo string, pinch to untwist the string and spread open the loop with your index finger and thumb.
- Slide Loop Over Bearing: Carefully slip the loop around the yoyo and onto the bearing. This will allow the string to rest only on your unresponsive bearing only.
- Twist String: Once the string is in place, release the loop and let it twist back into its normal shape. Give the string a little tug to ensure it’s twisted properly with no knots.
