You’ve probably seen all those lightning-fast Godspeed yoyo trick combos across your feed. But what if you want to learn this fast yoyo combo sidestyle? Fortunately, this fast combo only involves a few trick elements such as 1.5 Mount and repetition.

 

So let’s break down how to do a fast Godspeed yoyo combo in sidestyle that feels smooth and fun while using the iconic Godspeed yoyo!

What You Need:

  1. An unresponsive yoyo – The Godspeed is the ideal choice for fast combos. It is designed for speed, flow, and control. But any YoYoFactory unresponsive yoyo will work great for sidestyle yoyo tricks.
  2. Shorter string – If you want the fastest yoyo combo possible, we suggest you shorten your string slightly. This makes fast movements more controllable. You can cut your string or just wrap it around your throw hand a few times to get the same effect.

Fast Yoyo Combo Sidestyle:

Sidestyle combos are all about maintaining momentum and repeating movements. The 1.5 mount is key here. This ultimately sets you up for repeating fast movements, back-and-forth, from this mount.

  1. Start with Double or Nothing. Then, do the first part of Trap Door.
  2. Go to the other side and do 1.5 Mount. Drop the string on your index throw hand finger and then land on the back string. Swing to then land on the front string.
  3. On the other side, swing counterclockwise and move your throw arm around the yoyo.
  4. From here, do Kwyjibo.
  5. Unravel the string and then Bind.
