What is Bind?
Bind is a yoyo trick used to return an unresponsive yoyo back to your hand. It is an essential trick to know for modern yoyoing as it allows you to perform more complex tricks without the yoyo snapping back at your.

Easy One-Handed Yoyo Bind
Now that you have learned how to bind, let us show you how to spice it up with an easy one-handed bind. Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1: Throw a Breakaway.
Â
Step 2: Swing yoyo to the side and away from you.
Â
Step 3: Create loop with string going inwards and hit the gap inbetween the yoyo.
Step 4: Tug up immediately to bind and catch.
Tips:
- Make a large enough loop.
- Feel that the loop has wrapped around the gap and immediately pull back.
- Bending knees help to exaggerate the bind.
Mistakes to Avoid:
- Pulling up too early
- Not having enough of the string loop in the gap
- Not throwing a hard enough spin
- Not having a controlled enough throw to hit the string
- Thin pads need to be changed
- String needs to be changed
