What is Bind?
A bind brings an unresponsive yoyo back to your hand. Modern yoyoing relies on binds because advanced tricks would snap back unpredictably without them. When you control the bind, you also unlock the ability to perform longer, smoother, and more complex combos.

Easy One-Handed Yoyo Bind
Now that you understand the basic bind, let’s upgrade it with a stylish one-handed version. Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Throw a strong Breakaway.
Step 2: Swing the yoyo outward, away from your body.
Step 3: Form a loop by guiding the string inward, then hit the gap between the yoyo halves.
Step 4: Tug upward immediately to complete the bind and catch the yoyo.
Tips for Success:
- Make a large enough loop before you hit the gap.
- Feel the loop wrap the axle, then pull back right away.
- Bend your knees slightly to exaggerate the motion and keep control.
