Yoyo response pads are a crucial accessory for modern yoyos today. They are specially formulated of silicone that significantly impact performance. These pads are “thin” (19mm diameter) and fit into most Yoyofactory yoyos. Located inside on each half of the yoyo, the pads interact with the string to return the yoyo back to the player’s hand.

White Pads
White response pads are quintessential for YoYoFactory yoyos. It is why they come pre-installed in most yoyos. These pads offer the perfect balance of grip and smoothness, making them ideal for any playing style.

Red Pads
Red response pads are specifically designed for competition play. These pads break in quickly and reach optimal performance almost immediately, which is why these pads are ideal for players needing a quick replacement right before competing on stage. However, red pads wear out faster than the other options.

Yellow or Pink Pads
These pads are known for their consistency throughout their entire lifespan. Unlike other pads that have their own break in “sweet spot”, yellow and pink pads maintain the same level of response from its initial placement until right before it wears down for a new replacement.

Blue Pads
Blue pads offer enhanced grip and takes longer to break in. It maintains that “fresh” pad feeling for an extended period. Once broken in, blue pads hold a medium response feel while still being overall “grippy”. These are excellent for players who prefer a more responsive feel even in their unresponsive setups.

Brown pads are designed for longevity and universally loved by many players. Despite their durability, these pads require minimal break-in time and maintain consistent performance throughout their extended lifespan. These are perfect for your everyday on-the-go yoyo.

Green pads are thicker and designed specifically for automatic yoyos and responsive play. These are great for beginners needing extra response when learning the starter tricks that are meant to return back to the hand with a tug.
